Notes from Rising 2022

Reposted from LinkedIn

This past week, a group of us got a chance to experience in person Workday Rising again after being remote for 2 years. We met up with some old friends and made some new ones. I am glad to report that the energy and magic at the event is still there, even though we have been away for so long.

Events like these are great opportunities to connect with colleagues, peers, and products. Through these interactions, you can learn not only a lot about them, but also about yourself. It gives us experiences away from the “Zoom Void” over the past few years and allows us to absorb new ideas with a chance to reflect and grow.

This was my second time at #WDAYRising and my focus was a bit different than the last. I certainly have a few notes to review from this experience that will help my team and I grow to be the best versions of ourselves. We are looking forward to implementing the things we learned and I hope I’ll get to present/share some of them with you all again next year.

Anyway, here are a few of my favourite moments that I was able to catch. There were a lot that wasn’t captured because we were living in the moment, but those memories will still be well remembered and cherished.

Congrats to everyone in the Extend team, the Events team, and the rest of Workday for putting on a great show! Onward to San Fran in 2023! (With a hopeful stop at DevCon 2023 in between!!!)
